Is there a refund policy?

Your Right to Delete Your Data

You can delete your account and data at any time. Deletion completes within 7 days.

1. How to Request Deletion

Method 1: In-App (Fastest - Instant)

Open MARG app
Menu → Settings → Account
Tap Delete My Account
Confirm and enter OTP

Timeline: deletion begins immediately and completes within 7 days.

Method 2: Email Request

Subject: Account Deletion Request
Include full name, registered phone number, and optional reason

Timeline: response within 48 hours; deletion within 7 days.

2. What Happens to Your Data

2.1 Data That Gets Deleted

Account info: phone number, name, email (if provided)
User content: searches, views, call taps, favorites, reviews, feedback
App usage data: screens, features, time in app, device info, IP addresses, logs
Subscription data: status, auto-renewal preferences, saved payment methods
Communications: support tickets, emails, SMS logs (except OTP logs for security)

2.2 Reviews You Wrote

Default: reviews are anonymized (name removed, text remains).

Option: request full review deletion, which may take up to 14 days.

This preserves honest feedback while protecting your identity. You can choose either option in your deletion request.

2.3 Data We Must Keep (Legal)

Transaction records kept for 7 years (anonymized)
Legal hold data for disputes or investigations
Encrypted backups retained up to 30 days (automatic purge)

3. Deletion Timeline

Day 0: request received; confirmation sent
Days 1-2: account disabled; personal data removal begins
Days 3-5: app data removal; logs and support data purged
Day 6-7: final cleanup and verification
Day 8-30: encrypted backups automatically expire

4. Active Subscriptions

Delete immediately: access ends now; no refund for remaining days
Wait until expiry: use remaining access, then delete
Auto-renewal is canceled when deletion begins
Refunds only within 24 hours of a new subscription

5. Can You Change Your Mind?

Reversal Window (7 Days)

Log in within 7 days
Select Cancel Deletion
Account restored (some usage data may not return)

After 7 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

6. Special Cases

Deceased user requests require documentation (death certificate and proof of relationship). Email legal@margkgb.com with subject "Deceased User Account Deletion". Processing within 14 days.
